Long description: 'Fließgewässerbewertung' is the German word for 'river assessment'. fliessgewaesserbewertung.de offers information and discussion opportunities on river assessment with benthic invertebrates in Germany. Due to the Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessment methods are presently modified and newly developed to establish a far-reaching freshwater monitoring and assessment system in Europe. Aims of this website are: - Description of new methods to assess rivers with benthic invertebrates in Germany (river assessment) - Presentation of new results in applied aquatic ecology (research) - Discussion of the new methods in a forum (discussion)
