Short description: CIRIA's Local Authority Contaminated Land network aims to help local authorities address their responsibilities under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act and other duties involving land contamination. 
Long description: Local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales have duties as regulators under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. These include assessment and in some cases, remediation of contaminated sites in your area. CIRIA's Local Authority Contaminated Land network aims to help local authorities address these responsibilities and other duties involving land contamination. It aims to encourage good practice and increase redevelopment of brownfield sites by providing accessible and free training to members.
