Short description: Framework For Local Authority - SEPA Liaison Under Part IIA Of The Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Contaminated Land)
Long description: The purpose of this document is to provide a broad framework for liaison between SEPA and the 32 Scottish local authorities in carrying out their duties under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (the Act). It is aimed at facilitating the main processes preceding formal identification and designation. The framework only applies to those procedural aspects which require liaison between local authorities and SEPA under Part IIA, and hence only covers a small part of the provisions.
