Short description: The CASSST initiative aims to provide guidance for the use of stabilisation/solidification technology in the remediation of contaminated land and the treatment of hazardous wastes. The guidance documentation was published by the Environment Agency at the end of 2004 and is available in a downloadable format (PDF). 
Long description: The site contains details of the PASSiFy project (Performance Assessment of S/S Waste Forms) - an international collaborative project involving a number of key partners from academia and industry. The project team has identified 10 remedial operations that have utilised s/s at field scale, varying in age from 3 to 19 years.
