Short description: Detailes of the European Commission's Environment and Health Action Plan 2004-2010 that integrates Europe's expertise in environment, health and research sectors.
Long description: We all want to enjoy healthy lives, but our well-being depends to a large extent on the quality of the environments in which we live and work. The European Commission's Environment and Health Action Plan 2004-2010 outlines measures that will integrate Europe's expertise in environment, health and research sectors in order to better understand how environmental factors may threaten our health. By strengthening EU research in the environment and health research area and gearing it to inform policy-making, the Union and Member States will be able to formulate robust and targeted policy that better protects citizens’ health.
