ReCLAIM v2.0 is an electronic spreadsheet tool developed by Nexia Solutions Ltd through funding from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (the NDA) that can undertake simple generic and site specific assessments of radioactively contaminated land. It is designed principally for Nuclear Licensed Sites but can be applied more widely. The tool can:
• calculate doses for pre-defined exposure pathways and scenarios,
• calculate soil/water screening levels of individual radionuclides with reference to selected exposure pathways and a dose target,
• take into consideration radionuclide additivity,
• take into consideration available information on background levels of radioactivity,
• allow the user to define site specific parameter values for exposure pathways,
• allow the user to define custom pathways and scenarios to suit site specific conditions, and
• allow the user to combine one or more of the built-in pathways to create scenarios specific to the site being assessed.
