Long description: The paper describes the third version of RainSim, a robust stochastic rainfall field generator successfully applied in a range of climates and applications. An application to the Dommel catchment on the border of the Netherlands and Belgiam is used to demonstrate the ability of the improved model to match observed statistics and extremes.
