Short description: This document provides a summary of the biological tests currently recommended at Tier 2 of the Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) Framework, when they are applicable and how to apply them. It gives the risk assessor an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of the various tests, provides guidance on their selection, sets out the criteria for the adoption of new or additional tests and highlights factors that the risk assessor should be aware of when commissioning laboratories to undertake tests.
