Long description: A GIS using image georeferencing, feature creation, data modification, and data thematic organization was used to assemble hydrogeological data. Scientific modeling software was subsequently used with tehse data develop a numerical groundwater flow model at the study location, namely the Zarqa Ma’in-Jiza region in Central Jordan to model a mixing process between water from the upper and lower aquifers. Using this model, heat transport between the two aquifers in the study area confirms that the thermal water from the lower aquifer flows up via fault conduits to the upper aquifer.
