Short description: Temporal coverage/Source data/Resolution: IMAGE2000 data (Landsat-7 ETM images taken in the period of 1999-2001 (2002), 25 m pixel size) have been processed to derive Green urban areas (GUA) for the UMZs. Urban morphological zones (UMZs) to cover agglomerations with more than 100.000 inhabitants in Europe (according to EUROSTAT) have been derived previously from original Corine Land Cover 2000 data. UMZs include connected areas of urban Corine Land Cover (CLC) classes: 111, 112, 121, 122, 141 and 142. The changes with the previous version occur basically because the shape of the UMZs has changed; they were created using a different methodology to avoid effects such as cities splitted by big rivers
