Long Description:
The “Water and environment technologies” network launched in year 2000, caters to the needs of players concerned with water and its environment. Activities
are focused on R&D projects associating industry and research institutions. The network, open to the scientific, industrial and technical communities,
strongly encourages the participation of small- to medium-sized companies. The network’s activities are of four main types: - approval of R&D projects - definition
of strategic orientations and selection of priority topics - organization of scientific and technical events, such as thematic workshops to present or assess
work progress - knowledge diffusion and enhancement, e.g. through workshops and congresses. The approved projects are then directed for financial backing
to the network’s partner Ministries (responsible for Industry, Research and Environment). The “Water and environment technologies” network instigates
projects that develop products, applications, and innovative services - part of a logical response to socio-economic demands. The network aims to: - harness
water evolution in the various environments where it circulates - promote the rational use of water resources - develop treatment technologies - preserve
water quality
