Long Description:
Funding rates for applicants range from 50 to 100%:
100% for all applicants for policy-relevant, non-technological research and
50% for technological research (new technologies);
added cost for extra monitoring, quality assurance and literature study for existing technologies.
The OVAM research programme is the only so far in Flanders that really is focussing solely on contaminated land. Additionally to this programme, it is possible for researchers to apply for money in more traditional research programmes that are more general (and have much more money). Belgium has a Institute for Applied Scientific Research, where industry can apply for projects on technology; soil remediation is not a specific item there, but they have been funding projects before. The annual budget is 600.000 Euros.
