Organisation Outline:
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is the UK Government's leading funding agency for research and training in engineering and
the physical sciences. EPSRC invests around £500 million a year in a broad range of subjects from mathematics to materials science, and from information technology
to structural engineering, working in partnership with universities. EPSRC actively engages in and encourages partnerships and collaborations across
disciplines, boundaries and the world and actively promotes public engagement in science, engineering and technology.
Most of their funding is provided through research grants and training awards to universities, or provision of access to major national and international
research facilities managed though programmes.
