Organisation Outline:
British Standards Institution is the National Standards Body of the UK, responsible for facilitating, drafting, publishing and marketing British Standards and other guidelines.
British Standards provides UK industry and other stakeholders with their major access to and influence on standardization, both in the European arena (with CEN, CENELEC and ETSI) and internationally (with ISO and IEC).
Hard Copies of Standards are available from BSI Customer Services, British Standards Institution, 389 Chiswick High Road, London W4 4AL. Documents can be viewed at the BSI Library (same address, small charge for non-members), which has a searchable on-line library catalogue.
