Organisation Outline:
The Standing Conference on Land Contamination represents the concerns of local government lead regulatory services for contaminated land in the 350 or so
local authorities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (www.cieh.org.uk) and
was first established in 2002.
Through the Standing Conference, 45-50 specialist regional working groups of local authorities are provided with a mechanism for addressing issues of
policy and practice affecting contaminated land regulation.
