Organisation Outline:
In June 1998, Urban Mines Ltd set up the National Brownfield Sites Project (NBSP) in order to investigate brownfield sites and to address a range of matters. These include the availability of related information, type of brownfield, location patterns and issues affecting the remediation and development of brownfield land.
The National Brownfield Sites Project was completed in December 2000, and the work was presented at two conferences during December. A final report was produced which can be downloaded from the site.
Although the Project has finished, further research on brownfield land is being carried out by Urban Mines Ltd.
The site contains information about the project, a link to the final project report (downloadable PDF) and an explanation of the National Land Use Database with relevant links.
