Our Department
At the Department of Chemistry in Umeå research and education is conducted within the fields of analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysical chemistry,
environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and chemistry education. The global nature of the chemistry research results in extensive
international collaborations.
The Department of Chemistry engages some two hundred employees of which about one hundred are postgraduate students, and there are about five hundred full-time
students.
Our department comprises the subject fields mentioned above and belongs to the Faculty of Science and Technology.
