Organisation Outline:
The International Office for water OIEau is a non-profit-making association, state approved by decree on September 13, 1991. Its objective is to gather public
and private partners involved in water resources management and protection in France, and in Europe specially in order to set up a real partners’ network: The
aims of the Association is to implement activities related to the water sector and research sector, in order to (cf. the status in the Ministerial act on august
30, 2001) :
facilitate exchanges between the various decision-makers, designers, managers, industrialists, trainers, researchers, users concerned, to better
solve together their problems, to coordinate their actions, and disseminate information.
gather the know-how and develop partnerships between public and private organizations and lead projects and programmes of common and shared interest to
better meet the requirements and needs that is the case also with the emergence of WFD since 2000.
