Oikon Ltd., Institute for Applied Ecology has expertise drawn from the fields of scientific research, engineering and business, specialising in the protection
of the environment by providing services in applied research and consulting. Oikon engineer analytical and predictive tools, which will aid the eco-toxicological
assessment of soil, water and air for toxic metal contamination.
Oikon Ltd. business activities range from environmental consultancy services to provision of integral specialist studies and research in the field of
applied ecology. The company was registered on 24th November 1997 at the Croatian Court of Commerce under registration number MBS 080183498. Specialties
of the company include health, environment and nature protection, sustainable development, forestry and applied forest research, agriculture, ecological
modelling, energy, transport, marine biology, landscape ecology, geostatistics, remote sensing and GIS. Oikon Ltd. is also Soil Associations - Woodmark
representative in Croatia for FSC Certification of forests and wood processing industry.
Several recently implemented projects - Environment protection plan for Zagreb county, Coastal profile and ICZM program for Zadar’s county, as well as
SEA of Mariculture development plans in Zadar’s county - clearly demonstrate OIKON’s capacity in Environmental master planning.
Among Oikon’s employees we have 5 registered research scientists and researchers within Ministry of science and technology, under numbers: 137004, 162660,
189965, 240710, and 213675., two certified engineers and one certified project manager (certificate issued from Project Management Institute, USA).
Oikon Ltd. is registered FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization -UN) consultant organization, under number 41787/3782.
