Long Description:
Science for Peace sub-programme offers support to Partner countries in their transition towards a market-oriented, environmentally-sound economy. This sub-programme supports applied research and development projects in Partner countries, that relate to industrial or environmental problems, when such problems involve collaboration between science and industry or between science and other end-users. Science for Peace helps Partner scientists to increase contacts in the NATO science community, while building a stronger science infrastructure in their home countries.
Following the last Call for Proposals, in 2000, 55 applications were pre-selected and given planning grants for further development of the proposal. After a further selection process 25 projects received final funding. The total number of projects which have received project funding to date is 124. The list of funded projects is available here.
Information on any new call will be announced at the web site and advertised in the 'NATO Science and Society Newsletter'; this will not be before September 2003.
