Long Description:
Aims of the programme :
- development of specific tools, methods or techniques to improve the decision making procedures for local authorities, industrialists or contaminated
sites owners ; - development of more economical and efficient equipments or technologies to characterise and rehabilitate contaminated sites. Topics - site investigation, identification and quantification of contaminants : sampling strategy, monitoring, geostatistics, development of in situ or on
site methods and equipments, bioindicators, sampling representativity in piezometers ; - behaviour of pollutants, transfers to other environmental compartments (water, air, biomass): PAH, arsenic, natural attenuation (behaviour and becoming
of organohalogenated compounds in aquifers) ; - risk assessment : human health, ecosystems, communication about risks ; - remediation technologies : 'treatability' to validate by laboratory and pilot scale tests the selection and effectiveness of differents techniques,
assessment of new technologies efficiency, development, optimization of technologies. Budget: 1.3 Mill. €/year
