|
Project objectives:
The project aims to develop and validate a Decision Support System for the risk assessment and management/prevention of negative impacts caused by global change and human activity on the water-sediment-soil system at the scale of large river basins
|
Project
Summary:
The project will integrate environmental and geophysical data from satellite and ground-based sources into a DSS using the WASS simulation system and an artificial neural network (ANN). Three study areas will be used to apply and test the DSS: The Donana PArk wetland in Spain, the Elbe biosphere reserve in Germany and the marshland and lagoons of the Po delta in Italy
