Established over 65 years ago, NHBC (National House-Building Council) is a warranty and insurance provider for new homes. NHBC's commitment to regeneration 
is reflected in its technical and financial input to projects and initiatives which include: The Land Condition Record - a log-book for land, as recommended 
by the Urban Task Force; Joint sponsorship with the Environment Agency of specialist guidance on developing contaminated land; the NHBC mandatory protocol 
for registered builders - the Land Quality Standard; work with CIRIA (Construction Industry Research and Information Association) to develop training materials 
on remediating land; work with BRE (Building Research Establishment) to promote industry guidance for the construction sector; work on DETR's Partners in 
Innovation projects, including schemes to promote best practice in regeneration; cover for large-scale urban conversions.
