Description of stream assessment methods with benthic macroinvertebrates in general and the development process of the AQEM assessment procedure.
This report aims:
• to present the database, which has been generated in AQEM;
• to present different approaches how to develop an assessment system with the AQEM
data based on examples from Austria, Germany, Italy and Sweden;
• to outline the future system;
• to present a rough functional design for the AQEM computer program (deliverable 4),
which will be the main tool for implementing the AQEM method.
