Short description: |
This deliverable “Description of requirements for integrated methodology and data” has been established with the aim of setting methodological advice related to data requirements for DSS development. Trying to unify criteria, most important aspects of each PA have been addressed by an integrated focus, with the collaboration of working teams at both sides of the border. Data requirements should be as similar as possible in all PA’s; however each country has different particularities that have been included. The analysis of DSS requirements was divided in three different categories: • Data collection requirements: Required data should include all areas of interest to comprehensively characterize PA with emphasis to hydrology and hydrogeology, water management, and socio-economical phenomena. • Data methods requirements: Data used in DSS should be very well described, pre-processed, processed (in terms of analysis) and appropriately presented in an understandable form for end users. • End-users requirements: End-users of the DSS should be able to evaluate the quality of input data as basis of the DSS. Finally, an Annex related to water modelling, an essential tool on quantitative assessment of water resources in the fields of water planning and managing, contributes to complete the methodology described in this deliverable.
