The paper describes an effort of developing a DSS meant to assist in integrated management of transboundary catchments within the EU project TRANSCAT. The primary characteristics of the DSS under development, with special emphasis on GIS-related functionality and potential architecture are presented. The results of a state-of-the-art survey are shown. Then, the outline the prototype elaborated for the DSS, concentrated essentially on the visualisation aspects is given. Some conclusions from on-going work and experiences gathered are forwarded.
