Short description: |
The aim of this paper is to compare analytical methods for analysis, especially PCDD/F and PCB, from point of view legislation and accreditation criteria. Two of most important EU standards in field environmental analysis are EN 1948 and Commission Directive 2002/69/EC. Other widely used standards are American US EPA methods 1613, 1668, 8280 and 8290. In general two approaches to analysis such complicated groups of compounds as PCDD/F and PCB are widespread - GC/HRMS or GS/LRMS. Tandem mass spectrometry can be consider a special part of LRMS - more selective and sensitive than quadrupole MS.
