During the last decades attention has been increased to the environmental and human health issues. The problems of environmental and humans health protection from the chemical hazards are especially urgent. It is well known, that many kinds of human industrial activity are sources of environmental pollution. Amongst them agriculture is a very significant source of chemicals releases into environment. Armenia was always considered as a country with well developed agriculture. Until 1980s the republic was included in the group of former USSR regions with pesticides intensive use. Total territorial burden of pesticides many times exceeded average and varied according different data from 9 to 37.5 kg per ha. Specifics of agriculture are that pesticides unlike other chemical compounds are intentionally brought into environment, thus creating background for their wide circulation in the environmental objects. Pesticides might accumulate in ecological systems resulting in adverse effects. They are able to cumulate in trophic chains, penetrate and accumulate in human’s organism of persons who even does not have professional contact with pesticides, and affect human health.
