Short description:

UKTAG consists of experts from the UK conservation and environment agencies and the Department of Environment and Local Government for the Republic of Ireland This report presents the first set of environmental standards and conditions proposed by the UKTAG. It defines environmental conditions that will support healthy communities of aquatic plants and animals. It covers standards for water quality, and for water flow and water levels. It also proposes a system for assessing the structure and condition of the beds and banks of rivers.
