Long description: |
This report is an overview document of Fe0 PRB technology aimed at those
individuals with an interest in the use of cost effective and low energy technologies
to manage contaminated land.
The purpose of the Monkstown PRB was to remediate a chlorinated solvent groundwater
plume using a cost effective remediation technology with a low energy input and low level
maintenance requirements.
The purpose of this report is to describe the environmental conditions that led to the
installation of the Fe0 PRB system and to provide an objective assessment of the
performance of the technology.
