Contaminated land-->policy and regulatory Soil-->Soil Overview
|
Short description: |
Extract: In Wales, there is a comprehensive set of measures to protect soils, but we are keen to learn from policy managers, land managers and users about their views on the actions required to protect and enhance the soil resource in Wales. We need to plan how to adapt to future pressures on soils. Climate change is expected to have significant direct effects in terms of soil carbon and structure. Soils will also be expected to deliver increasing food and fibre to satisfy increasing global demands. Our ability to adapt to climate change impacts such as flooding and biodiversity changes will depend heavily on our soil management.
