Long description: |
Different passive air samplers (PAS) have been developed for cost-effective sampling and simultaneous spatial mapping of POPs (persistent organic pollutants) over differing geographical scales. The polyurethane foam (PUF) disk-based PAS is one of the most widely used. This paper describes a field study to compare the field performance of three different sampler designs at different locations and heights. Field studies have validated the use of polyurethane-disks for passive sampling of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in air.
