Dear List members,
Liverpool City Council Contaminated Land Team has this month revised a 2004 guidance document on the verification of contaminated land cover systems. The revisions reflect the experience of the team over the last few years in reviewing and assessing validation reports submitted by the development industry in compliance with planning conditions. The document has updated guidance and advice on the appropriate use of photographic evidence. The document is not considered to be prescriptive in any way nor definitive guidance on this subject, rather a contribution to the body of advice that is already out there and we hope regulators and developers alike can appreciate and use the note in the spirit of cooperation and information sharing.
