Short description: Soil Atlas of Europe : Atlas Contents, Key facts, Printouts, Commission Preface and information on how to obtain copy of the Atlas. The Soil Atlas of Europe is the result of a collective effort by more the 40 National soil surveys and soil science institutions cooperating across Europe within the European Soil Bureau Network (ESBN). Soil Atlas of Africa: The Institute for Environment and Sustainability of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, and ISRIC – World Soil Information intend to produce a Soil Atlas of Africa, similar to the Soil Atlas of Europe. To have the highest impact possible, we would like to ask potential users for ideas and needs about the contents of this atlas. Soil Atlas of the Northern Circumpolar Region: The Institute for Environment and Sustainability of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission leads a project which has an affiliation with International Polar Year. The Atlas of Northern Circumpolar Soil will be the first document of its kind to bringing together soil data for all the northern countries in a style designed to better understand and protect soil resources in these areas. Atlas of Soil Biodiversity: Coming soon: an atlas guiding the reader on a walk through the world of life below ground. Full of pictures to bring these unseen and underappreciated organisms to life, this atlas will be your guide into an unseen world! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- European Soil Database Maps: A collection of maps which represent all attributes that are present in the in the Soil Geographical Database of Eurasia at scale 1:1,000,000 (version 4 beta) and the PedoTransfer Rules Database (version 2.0). All maps are in PDF format (A3). All maps are 'dominant value' maps ; to understand the concept of 'dominant value', read this introduction. National Soil Maps : All the maps produced in the context of European Digital Archive on Soil Maps of the World (EuDASM). The Digital Archive is a collection of scanned soil maps. The immediate objective is to transfer soil information into digital format, with the maximum resolution possible, to preserve the information of paper maps that are vulnerable to deterioration.
