The Sediment Management Work Group (the 'SMWG') is an ad hoc group open to membership from industry and government parties with responsibility for management of contaminated sediments. The group aims to advance risk-based, scientifically sound approaches for evaluation of sediment management decisions. Their objectives are to collect, develop, analyze and share data and information on the effectiveness of sediment management technologies and approaches.
