Short description: Extract: It is hoped that this document will help to promote the use of appropriately monitored natural attenuation where it is effective and appropriate, as one of the techniques in the remediation toolbox. It is also hoped that improved standards of monitoring of the processes, together with a continuing research programme, will improve the Agency’s, and society’s, confidence in the effectiveness of MNA for the remediation of pollution.
