Short description: The document characterises the Meton site in Milano (Italy), selected as a case study for Integral groundwater investigation in the EU INCORE Project. The area was used by an important chemical factory for about seventy years; the hydrology of the area (a stratified alluvial aquifer) is described together with the mathematical modelling carried out to design the emission Pumping Tests (EPTs). The results show that the EPTs are very promising for the deep aquifer, which has very high conductivity, but are less satisfactory for the shallow aquifer.
