Short description: Having constructed three new water adits, the water budget of the abandoned Straßberg mine increased substantially. To solve the questions arising from this, a multi-tracer test was conducted: using potassium chloride, coloured club moss spores, and microspheres, the hydrodynamic relation between three mining districts could be shown. It was demonstrated that solid tracers in conjunction with a reliable injection and sampling technique are a good means of investigating the hydrodynamic conditions within this abandoned underground mine.
