Short description: The objectives of EPP can be summarised as: • bringing waste and PPC regulation into one joined-up risk-based regime, • reducing red tape while maintaining environmental standards, • simplifying and clarifying supporting documents and information systems, and • delivering savings for both operator and regulator The first step will be to make a number of sets of standard rules for waste activities available from April 2008. This is the subject of the consultation. Includes standard rules for mobile soil treatment facilities, and facilities for dealing with excavated materials
