Long description: This bulletin briefly discuss' Soil Washing as a rememdiation method and looks at why it is classified as a simple and effective remediation method. It looks at the principles, considerations and evaluation of the soil washing process, which includes the main principles of operation, soil contaminant associations, lab and pilot scale tests, process water and seperation equipment. It then goes on to discuss commerial operations, examples of application, cost and finally concludes the bulletin stating soil washings benifits as well as downfalls.
