Long description: This bulletin summarises the main sections of the Code of Practice – ecological information, prevention of spreading, management, root barriers, on-site treatment/disposal, movement of soils, affect on site use. The Environment Agency developed the Knotweed Code of Practice to allow their staff to have a consistent approach and it is also relevant to anyone working in the brownfield development or soil haulage sectors.
